Bleach: The DiamondDust Rebellion (2007) IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: An artifact known as the “King’s Seal” is stolen during transport from the Soul Society by an unidentified Soul Reaper and two Arrancar resembling girls who control fire and lightning. During the attack, Toshiro Hitsugaya corners and seems to recognize the Soul Reaper, who immediately stabs him in the stomach. In the middle of battle, Hitsugaya abandons his post to pursue him and leaves his squad behind to fend for themselves. After the battle, The Soul Society suspects Hitsuguya of treason and orders his immediate capture. The whole 10th Squad is then put on house arrest at which time they can surmise whether or not the division should be abolished. With the whole of Soul Society looking for Hitsugaya, Ichigo as a soul reaper on patrol accidentally stumbles upon Squad 2 Captain Soifon while she is conducting an investigation of the transport site. Soifon informs him of the events happening in the Soul Society and dispels the kido surrounding them. As Soifon disappears with her crew, Toshiro makes his presence known and passes out in front of Ichigo and Uryu. Awakening in the Kurosaki residence, Toshiro refuses to explain what’s happening. In the midst of their discussion, Ichigo is attacked by the two arrancar before he can force the issue more. Toshiro escapes, continues to avoid capture. However, things only get worse when the Soul Reaper thief, identified as Former Soul Reaper Sojiro Kusaka also uses Hyorinmaru, a sword identical to Hitsugaya’s, to injure Shunsui Kyoraku. Toshiro’s capture is then made top priority and his execution is approved.

There is a definite pattern going on. The movie comes out in December in Japan. In September of the following year, it comes out on DVD in Japan and is then subbed. In June of the following year it is dubbed and gets put into American theaters. I must say seeing Bleach in a US theater was quite fun.

Where do all these artists(music) get this idea that they can sample songs and then claim them to be there own?
Think about it. All these musicians in the 70s 80s and 90s go through trial and error with tons of albums to get like 4 hits that are really good, and then the pussy cat dolls or flo rider make no effort to make their own music. They just sample all the hard work and add a beat they layer there crappy voices over top.

I'm going crazy trying to find a particular submarine movie probably made within the last 20 years.?
There is a running theme throughout the movie where male crew of the submarine refers to the only female aboard in duragatory terms for women. Here are a couple of paraphrases. "Seen the new muff?" or "Checked out the bleeder" There were numerous similar terms for women used in this comedy. Someone suggested it might be "Down Periscope". I couldn’t find the dialog in that movie. If anyone knows this movie and about how far into it, this dialog takes place, please respond. No offense meant to the ladies. This is a comedy and you all know how guys talk when there are no women around.

I enjoyed reading your question and I will provide you with two authors and three books. I speculate that these will likely be outside of the genre you are looking for; however, based on your question and suggestion that "…I would like the main character to be somewhat of a genius" I am making my humble submission. Don’t laugh too loud!

Author #1: Barnard B. Fall, PhD; two books "Street Without Joy" (I recommend reading this first) and then his follow up book "Hell in a Very Small Place: The Battle for Dien Bien Phu". Consider the author here to be the "genius" and the main character. Dr. Fall didn’t realize it at the time but his work while recording the history of French-Indo China wars he revealed himself and ability in the way he undertook his interest. He was a kid when his parents moved from Austria to France in the late 1930’s, his Father fought for the French Resistance was then captured and killed by the Nazi’s; his Mother was a school teacher who was taken off to one of the many Labor Camps where she died. At the age of 15 he (Dr. Fall) then fights for the French Resistance and would consider himself French above all later even though he was of Jewish ancestry. He would earn his first college degree in France, then come to the USA where he would work on his PhD, meet his future wife and have children here. He would be killed while stepping on a land mine in Viet Nam in 1967 at the age of 40. He embodies the word or phrase "embedded journalist"; while most of his colleagues were at some posh Hotel in Hanoi in the early 1950’s as the French-Indo China war was proceeding he himself was "embedded" with the French Foreign Legion. Few authors can touch his writing experience and descriptive ability to write about the war there in Viet Nam. He was an ardent anti-Communist; however, he was critical of the US involvement in Viet Nam and hence he became one of the many people that J. Edgar Hoover would "watch".

Author #2: General James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle (also a PhD by the way); one book "I Could Never Be So Lucky Again". He was an absolute "genius" with his scientific contributions to aeronautical engineering. He is the main character and his life was very interesting with very humble beginnings.

Didn’t mean to make this so long ~ but that is my two cents worth to your very good question.
